Dinner In the Sky, a Belgian-based restaurant concept and service that allows diners to experience just that. And guess what? It has landed in Macau. It’s perfect for thrill seekers and foodies who are looking for something new.
The thrilling Dinner in the Sky experience comes to Macau
The Dinner in the Sky experience uses a crane that allows diners to have a meal 50 metres in the air, complete with a table, service staff, and food prepared by a five-star chef. Back in March, the company unveiled its Macau Instagram account to tease the news. A day later, its co-creator, David Ghysels, also confirmed the news to Macao News, according to an official Instagram post.
The service has been available in over 60 countries across five continents since opening in 2007. These cities include Paris, Las Vegas, Dubai, Kuala Lumpur, and Tokyo, among others. Macau is just the latest addition to the list to have a “flying dinner table” experience.
Only six sessions are available per day, with a limit of 22 people per session. Interested diners can book via the website or telephone +853 6396 6644. The entrance is located at Level 1, City of Dreams, North-West outdoor area (outside Lan Bar).
A dining experience like no other
Some concepts are unique to the location. For example, the one in Monaco was held for Prince Albert with renowned French chef Joel Robuchon at the helm. Other creative concepts include a beach bar, an opera, and even a poker match. Besides a dinner experience, the company also provides Meeting in the Sky and Marriage in the Sky opportunities.
