Taking place at the AsiaWorld-Expo from 30 January to 1 February 2026, the Show has opened its doors for a weekend of equestrian excellence and lifestyle entertainment.
Today (30 Jan 2026) marks the highly anticipated return of the Longines Hong Kong International Horse Show (LHKIHS) 2026 at the AsiaWorld-Expo, setting the stage for an unforgettable three-day spectacle, filled with a dazzling showcase of world-class equestrian talent and lifestyle entertainment. Solidifying its status as a key fixture on the city’s sporting and social calendar, the Show runs through 1 February, headlined by world-class international 5-star show jumping and breathtaking equestrian displays. Beyond the arena, visitors can enjoy a vibrant lineup of entertainment, including immersive experiences at the Lifestyle Shopping Village, a special live performance by Ian Chan of MIRROR, and much more.
A memorable Opening Ceremony marked the start of the Show, featuring a special lion dance, sponsored by the Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB). The ceremony welcomed honoured guests, including the Deputy Chief Secretary for Administration of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Mr Cheuk Wing-hing, GBS, JP; Deputy Director, Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Mr Sun Shangwu; Deputy Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Mr Hua You; and Secretary for Culture, Sports and Tourism of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Miss Rosanna Law, JP.
Officiating at the event’s opening ceremony, Mr Cheuk Wing-hing, Deputy Chief Secretary for Administration of the HKSAR Government said, “This Show will be a magnificent three-day showcase of equestrian sports and non-stop entertainment, featuring world-class showjumping. The Hong Kong Jockey Club Asian Youth Challenge will put a bright spotlight on the region’s top young talent, including rising stars from Hong Kong. Events such as this Horse Show inspire the youth and strengthen Hong Kong’s status as a premier destination for outstanding sports competitions and major cultural events.”

Day 1 Show Programme Highlights
The opening day’s evening session was brimming with high-octane action and entertainment, starting with the first-ever The HKJC Asian Youth Challenge, a 1-star Inter-Asia Showjumping Competition, which showcased the region’s best young riding talent aged 14-18, in a challenging first round and jump-off format. Meanwhile, the Show also hosted the very first Airport Authority Hong Kong presents: Hong Kong Dog Agility Competition, a fast-paced, tail-wagging spectacle that had audiences on the edge of their seats. Crowds cheered as a pack of incredible canine athletes showcased their speed, skill and agility, providing a new programme for visitors to experience and be surprised.
The Show’s international 5-star showjumping action kicked off with The Longines Welcome Stakes, where top riders from around the globe competed to post the fastest clear round, claiming the prestigious title. The class features participation from global superstars who have had plenty of experience at numerous international competitions in the past. Visitors were captivated by the high-energy excitement of The Shetland Pony Grand National, where eight spirited Shetland ponies and their young jockeys raced head-to-head around a challenging course – delivering all the thrill and spectacle of big-league racing in pint-sized form. The HKJC Musical Ride returned for a showcase of The Hong Kong Jockey Club’s equestrian team, demonstrating the finest dressage movements set to enchanting music unlike any other.

Upcoming Highlights of Days 2 & 3
Over the next two days, the arena will be full of excitement with thrilling performances across two daily sessions. On 31 January, the Afternoon Session runs from 13:00 to 16:10, followed by the Evening Session from 18:10 to 22:00. The fun continues the next day from 12:00 to 15:55 and 18:10 to 22:10. Each session promises a gripping line-up with the highlight of the weekend being the prestigious Longines Grand Prix, which will bring the Show to a spectacular close on 1 February.
While the arena is alive with equestrian action, the Lifestyle Shopping Village offers plenty more to explore and spend the whole day, including the Dog Fashion Show by PET-A-HOOD, where a parade will feature adorable pups in creative costumes sure to bring smiles to all visitors. Live Zone sessions on “Training a Champion Dog” will provide an opportunity to see how professional handlers demonstrate agility and skills, as well as the bond between the dog and trainer, while learning tips and tricks to turn pups into happy champions. The LeMieux Hobby Horse Competition provides a memorable opportunity to experience the thrill of ‘riding’ through a playful course of low-rise jumps. The Hong Kong Kids Fashion Week returns to our event once again, allowing young models to showcase their inspiring fashion collections to celebrate creativity, confidence and the joy of dressing up. Additionally, the Hong Kong Kids Fashion Week: Model World Cup – New Talent Competition will be held on 1 February, as young children take the spotlight to showcase their style on the runway, celebrating the next generation of fashion stars.
Last but not least, the Show will conclude on 1 February with a special performance by Ian Chan of MIRROR. Taking the stage after an exhilarating weekend of equestrian action, Ian will perform a selection of songs that capture the excitement and energy of the Show, ending the event on an uplifting and celebratory note.

A must-visit experience, the Longines Hong Kong International Horse Show is organised by Clarion Events Asia Pte Ltd., with HPower Group providing the sports and equestrian management.
