Get ready, Cantopop lovers! Hong Kong Times Square is set to transform your ultimate music destination throughout May with 11 spectacular “YouTube Music Nights” live performances at the Open Piazza. This exciting initiative brings together over 30 local singers and music groups, offering a mix of genres and collaborative stages. Adding to the excitement, local brand KALOS is proud to unveil its very first “YouTube Music Record Store” pop-up. Open for a limited period from today until May 31. The store showcases records from over 70 artists and music groups, inviting fans to explore through records and capture photos. A highlight of the store will be the display of autographed record cover and vinyls for more than 30 music groups performing at YouTube Music Nights. Guests can also DIY their own Music-Themed Lub Lub keychains, creating a unique music accessories that celebrate Cantopop and local craftsmanship.

“YouTube Music Record Store” pop-up, running from May 11 to 31. The store is designed with a vibrant Cantopop and classic Hong Kong theme, reimagining a traditional record store. The record shelf displays the latest record covers and vinyls from over 70 singers and music groups, allowing fans with an immersive experience to discover and capture photos with their favorite artists’ records. The store also features autographed covers and vinyls from over 30 music groups performing at YouTube Music Nights. The back of each record cover features a QR code linking directly to the artist’s YouTube music videos, allowing fans to instantly dive into their music, discover new artist, and deepen their appreciation for the Cantopop scene.

KALOS infuses its Lub Lub keychains with nostalgic old Hong Kong elements, including the classic Multiplication table (九因歌) from childhood homework books, retro floor tile patterns, iconic red-white-blue bag checkered designs, ornate iron gates, and Hong Kong-style neon lights. These vintage patterns can be transformed into personalized accessories, perfect for carrying or displaying at home as decorative pieces.

KALOS has specially designed a photo spot for YouTube Music Nights. This interactive display features a 4×4 grid of square boxes, with each side showcases performing artists, musical elements, and phrases. The spirit of the brand originates from the 1970s when a young craftsman, Mr. HO Cheuk Fai, held onto his dream on creating a local block that belongs to Hong Kong. Handcrafted the first generation of plum blossom-shaped molds, embodying the essence of Hong Kong. However, due to technical limitation, his dream was once put on hold. Over time, Mr. HO resolved to pass down the craftsmanship and unfulfilled dreams to the next generation. Thus, the new generation of “LUB” was born, with each piece meticulously crafted by the team. Each “LUB” embodies the spirit of craftsmanship and serves as a starting point for endless possibilities.
KALOS’ grey symbolizes a deeper meaning for the brand. Acts as a muse for creativity, capable of complementing any color, and at the same time, standing out as the focus, much like a blank canvas waiting for the artist’s touch. KALOS’ grey also represents the craftsman’s persistence, as the first block manufactured by the brand is grey, symbolizes the team’s pursuit of quality. Grey, embodies the multifaceted nature of the world, representing the absence of right or wrong, the lack of absolutes, and an open mind for exploration and inclusivity.
