Waterbomb Hong Kong to Return This October

After its debut last year, Waterbomb Hong Kong will make a splash again in 2025 for another edition. On its official Instagram page, organisers said the event “will once again bring the heat back to Hong Kong!” Get ready for the return of one of the hottest music festivals on October 4 to 5, 2025.

Waterbomb Hong Kong 2025
Organisers teased that “music, water, and passion” will once again be part of the event. Additionally, it will bring about “exhilarating and unforgettable moments.” In an unexpected move, organisers moved the dates towards the end of the year. Last year, the inaugural Waterbomb Hong Kong was held from June 1 to 2. Performers included Jay Park, Loco, STAYC, Rain, Jessi, Gray, 82Major, and PH-1.

Organisers have a second chance to impress after the two-day water-themed festival’s mismanagement issues last year. Attendees had to wait for hours to retrieve their personal belongings. The adverse weather conditions due to typhoon Maliksi also affected the opening time, moving it to an hour later, resulting in long queues at the entrance. By the time the performances began, some attendees were still queuing.

Waterbomb is coming to Macau for the first time
In addition to Hong Kong, the Waterbomb Music Festival will also be in Macau for the first time. The inaugural Macau edition will take place from August 9 to 10. The venue has not yet been confirmed. In a post on the event’s official Instagram, the caption said, “Korea’s hottest festival – Waterbomb, storms into Macao 2025!” Stay tuned for more announcements with ticket information and more dropping soon.

What is the Waterbomb music festival?
The Waterbomb music festival originated in South Korea and is one of the country’s biggest music events. One of its main highlights is the water fights, where players with water guns need to win against the other team. Of course, there are also dazzling performances and dance numbers from K-pop stars and other artists.

While there is still little information about this year’s Hong Kong edition of Waterbomb, we can expect similar aspects of the festival. And hopefully, it won’t be affected by bad weather conditions. For now, mark your calendar if you’re looking forward to something exciting this summer.
