The 29th Great Chefs of Hong Kong Unites Hong Kong’s Top Restaurants and Hotels in Support of Children with Special Educational Needs

Heep Hong Society’s annual culinary charity event presents over 50 of the city’s finest restaurants and hotels for one night only with proceeds supporting children and their families

Heep Hong Society’s annual culinary charity event, The Great Chefs of Hong Kong, returns for its 29th edition on Monday, 11 May 2026, at Grand Hyatt Hong Kong. Recognised as one of Hong Kong’s most established fundraising dining events, The 29th Great Chefs of Hong Kong brings together more than 50 leading restaurants and international hotels for an evening celebration of flavour and generosity, with proceeds supporting Heep Hong Society’s Parents Resource Centres, benefiting children with special educational needs and developmental disabilities, as well as their caregivers.

A media preview and tasting session was held today, featuring Star Ambassador Ms. Toby Chan, who joined with renowned chefs to advocate for a good cause.

Uniting Internationally Acclaimed Chefs, Restaurants, and Hotels
The 29th edition once again showcases a strong and diverse culinary line-up, featuring renowned hotels and distinctive dining concepts including Michelin-starred restaurants. A major highlight this year is Cucina at Marco Polo Hongkong Hotel, recipient of the Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star Rating for six consecutive years. Chef de Cuisine Andrea Delzanno will present a refined Italian dish – Braised Wagyu Beef Cheek Strozzapreti with Barolo Wine Sauce, finished with Black Truffle. This dish perfectly embodies what guests can expect at the event, an elegant and balanced showcase of authentic cuisine.

Look forward to highly anticipated cuisines including Michelin-starred Korean restaurant Hansik Goo as well as Ming Court at Cordis Hong Kong, both of which will present their signature dishes. Participating five-star hotel groups include Grand Hyatt Hong Kong, The Ritz-Carlton, Hong Kong, Marriott International, The Fullerton Ocean Park Hotel Hong Kong, Sheraton Hotels and Resorts, The Royal Garden and Marco Polo Hongkong Hotel, each contributing the talent of their culinary teams in support of this meaningful initiative.

Savour the Taste of Hong Kong’s New Dining Concepts
This year proudly welcomes seven debut restaurants, adding fresh energy and anticipation to the event. Among them is Bistrot’s Suzette, the new French bistro under Silver Spoon Restaurants, led by Chef Tiff Lo, who trained at several Michelin-starred restaurants in London. She and her team will present Chicken Liver Mousse with Crispy Baguette, a delicate dish that captures the charm of French bistro dining.

Ponentino, the new Italian restaurant under The Royal Garden, will present Foie Gras Ice Cream with Mojito Sorbet and Fresh Fruit Salad, a playful and inventive combination that brings an element of surprise to the table. Fine Cantonese restaurant Cheung Kung Koon will offer Braised Abalone Sauce with Fish Maw and Flower Mushroom, while the contemporary Chinese restaurant Chinesology and the new Asian steakhouse The Orient in Tsim Sha Tsui will also make their debut at this year’s event. Popular kombucha specialist Taboocha joins the line-up as well, offering a refreshing kombucha for guests to enjoy.

Ms. Kim Murphy, Chair of the Great Chefs Working Group, highlighted the event’s enduring impact, “This year, we proudly celebrate the 29th edition of the Great Chefs of Hong Kong. This is an evening that transcends the delights of exquisite cuisine and fine wines, embodying a profound spirit of unity within our food and beverage community, all in the name of charitable giving. Over the decades, this event has earned a strong reputation, drawing nearly 1,000 guests annually, whose generosity continues to uplift children with special educational needs and their families. At its heart, it’s this shared commitment to compassion that forges lasting bonds and creates meaningful change in our city.”

Event Ambassador Ms. Chan Ting-yan said, “I am delighted to once again serve as ambassador for Heep Hong Society. This charity dining event stands out for its unique way of bringing people together through food. Beyond the enjoyment of the evening, it helps raise awareness of the needs of SEN children and their families, while also encouraging the public to show their support. It is a meaningful initiative that truly deserves our attention.”

Parents Resource Centres (PRCs) serve to provide diversified and comprehensive services to families of people with developmental disorders, and to ease the pressure of caregiving on parents. It is hoped that through mutual support and encouragement among parents, every family could be further developed. We have seven PRCs. Owing to the strong demand for these services, three centres are non-subvented and rely on the society’s active fundraising efforts for continued support.
