The multisensory art exhibition: Naked Flowers from Japan is coming to Hong Kong @nakedflowershk
Don’t let the Art March stop, welcoming the Naked Flowers Art Exhibition coming to Hong Kong for the first time. On the 27th April, The Naked Flower is arriving at 1881 Heritage, Tsim Sha Tsui for a total of 6 months, bringing you a multisensory experience through a journey of 8 different participatory arts rooms. The exhibition will begin with the popular digital art object “NAKED BIG BOOK”, then into the “FLOWER PATH”, and “DIGITAL FLOWER GARDEN” where you can experience three participatory arts in a space resembling a flower garden. Based on the concept of “Learning the secrets of flowers by touching them and enjoying them,” you can dive into this unique art experience in eight different areas to learn about the secrets of flowers.
Naked Flowers is founded by Japanese Artist, Mr. Ryotaro Muramatsu. Since founding NAKED Inc. in 1997, he has lead projects in various fields, including films, TV, music videos and spatial presentation. The films he has directed has been nominated 48 times in different film festivals around the world. In recent years, he has produced immersive art events including FLOWERS by NAKED and TOKYO ART CITY by NAKED alongside with leaders of traditional Japanese culture. Bringing the NAKED FLOWERS to Hong Kong is definitely exciting and Hong Kong audiences are looking forward to explore what Mr. Muramatsu has to offer.
The eight experiential rooms of NAKED FLOWERS are as follows:
A NAKED art object created using projection mapping on a gigantic book object with an original naked design. From now on, we will show you the secrets of various flowers that you will encounter in “NAKED FLOWERS”.
Stand in front of the huge flowers and take a look. Enjoy the gentle fragrance of the flowers. Accompanied by the scent of the flowers, the petals are flying, leading us deeper into the mysterious garden.
A digital art space in a flower garden where various flowers grow through the participation of visitors. While enjoying three experiences, “DIGITAL GARDEN” is an interactive art where you can grow flowers, “WILD FLOWER GARDEN” where you can become a butterfly and play with flowers, and “SPECIAL TIME” where you can see glowing flowers blooming at night. You can touch the secrets of life.
While you pass by the Mosaic Flower Garden, they will greet you gently digitally. Feel free to learn the meaning of each special flower.
A kaleidoscope-like space with mirrors that rotate in all directions to reflect digital art. By zooming in on flowers, the mysterious world of cells opens up.
A light-up space spreads along the path leading into the venue. The petals scattered from “NAKED BIG BOOK” flow into the path, creating a tunnel of petals. As you walk through the snowflakes falling in the tunnel, you will enter the world of “NAKED FLOWERS”.
This is an interactive art piece where when you approach a wall, flower seeds appear, grow, and bloom. You can discover the beginning of a flower’s life and the golden ratio of nature within it, and learn about the secrets of flower growth.
A WORLD FULL OF PEACE
An art project by artist Ryotaro Muramatsu to plant (install) the dandelion art object “DANDELION” around the world, making the flower, a symbol of peace, bloom all over the world.
An interactive round table will be installed for guest’s enjoyment when they purchase a drink at our café bar. Without any placement of object, the table will not have visual visibility.
