In the heart of Central, Hong Kong, amidst the vibrant pulse of the city, a celebration of timeless elegance and artistry recently unfolded at the Pedder Arcade. This enchanting evening marked the grand opening of Pedder Arcade, a retail haven that promises sophistication and tranquility, located on the 5th floor of the iconic Pedder Building. But this soirée was more than just a celebration of architectural innovation—it was a convergence of craftsmanship, passion, and the art of timekeeping.

The Pedder Arcade is a new retail concept in Central, Hong Kong. Taking inspiration from historic European shopping arcades, it reimagines the 5th floor of the iconic Pedder Building as a modern shopping destination. The aim of the Pedder Arcade is to be a sanctuary from the intensity of Hong Kong, providing a sophisticated and calm atmosphere for people to enjoy. The shops hosted by the arcade offer a complete shopping experience for the modern gentleman as well as some special items for ladies. Designed and curated by The Armoury and Katherine Wong Design, it features shops, an art gallery and a bar & cafe.

Founded in 2010 by the visionaries Mark Cho and Alan See, The Armoury stands as a testament to their passion for classic styling and exceptional craftsmanship. Embodying the essence of true men’s haberdashery, The Armoury is more than a store; it is a shrine to bespoke tailoring, where each garment and accessory tells a story of unparalleled artistry. Amidst a world inundated with mass-produced mediocrity, The Armoury stands tall, echoing the tales of artisans and their masterpieces.

Amidst the opulence of Pedder Arcade, Labeg’s ClockArt takes centre stage. Celebrating this momentous occasion, Labeg’s clock creations, infused with a passion for watches and artistic flair, adorn the arcade from October 22 to November 5. Each clock tells a tale of creativity and precision, a symphony of form and function. Visitors are invited to explore these timepieces, each a masterpiece in its own right, carefully placed within the arcade’s exquisite confines.

Among the treasures displayed, one stands out—the magnificent “Puyi’s Clock.” Created with acrylic on cardboard, this artwork transcends time and space. Its dimensions of 40cm x 43cm, encased in a 54cm x 54cm x 7cm acrylic box frame, represent the seamless fusion of art and technology. This masterpiece, auctioned at Pedder Arcade on October 21st for HK$36,000, captures the essence of Labeg’s creative brilliance.

Amidst the glamour of this evening’s festivities, Phillips unveiled a captivating watch exhibition, showcasing renowned timepieces from around the world, including illustrious names like Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, Rolex, Richard Mille, Cartier, and more. They drew enthusiasts and connoisseurs from around the globe, witnessing the zenith of watchmaking artistry. This event became the convergence of fashion and art, adding an infinite touch of luxury to the evening and allowing every guest present to experience the epitome of horological aesthetics.

As the night unfolded, the air was filled with the melodious clinking of glasses and the laughter of guests.
